Unearthly

- Release Date: 2011-04-19
- Genre: Romance for Young Adults
Description
In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees . . . .
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make—between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.

5By Samara GlennI absolutely love this book. Love, love, love it!Love
5By Mavs08I had this book downloaded on my iPad for a couple years, but it wasn't until about July or so that I decided to read it. Then I got busy and only a week ago, I decided to pick it up again to finish it. Let's just say I wish I picked it up to read sooner! This genre of book has always been my favorite to read. I loved how Christian was towards her. But then I'm torn because Tucker was there for her throughout the summer when she needed people most. I feel like there should be a 'Team Tuck' or 'Team Christian' thing going on but I'm 'Team Both' at the moment. Lol. I can't wait until I can get the second book in the series!Fantastic
5By emilyclutz11If you loved this book you will love vampire academy and bloodline. Must readUnearthly Trilogy
5By RKHolic2I simply cannot describe how much I love this book and whole series. Cynthia Hand has us all hanging in the books as if it was a real story. The way everything is described and portrayed is just amazing. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Unearthly trilogy!!! One of the best books I've read and definitely my favorite.Okay
3By Lives123I was kinda disappointed I thought the book was a paranormal romance there was no romance and I thought it was really slow moving. I won't be reading the next book:(Error- Missing Chapters!!!!
3By daydreamsandfairytalesI paid for the book BUT it has major errors. Like... There will be a sentence your reading, then u turn the page and Bam! New chapter, No ending to the previous chapter. It's REALLY annoying. And worse yet Whole Entire Chapters missing!!! The 14th ch. Jumping Tree, will not show up @ all!! I'd love to re-read Unearthly with the corrections at the end of each chapter. The book should be updated. :/ PLEASE FIX!!!team prescott
5By Ms. Panamai love christian he is like edward from twilight and will from infernal devices which are great books btw anyways the book is beautiful i wish clara went for christian but whatever i mean people die everyday tucker sorry this subject gets me emoNot Quite Heavenly. . .
4By deftunzTo be honest, I loved Cynthia Hand's writing style! I could visualize everything about Jackson, Wyoming in my head. The characters have depth to them and I really enjoyed the British History class with the drawing for role in the British Court and the skiing misadventures! However, I don't like how Clara falls for Tucker and meanwhile completely shuts Christian out. Both good guys, but I am personally on Team Christian. And seriously, why on earth did Clara tell Tucker almost everything there is to know about angels? I mean, just telling him that she was part-angel was bad enough, why did she spill information about all of her friends too? In a nutshell, love the writing style, not loving Clara's choices, but overall it's a pretty good book. Not bad
2By BellreiI liked the story but i hated the fact that an "angelic being" wouldn't follow the rules and will save a mere human instead of following her destiny. I don't think i want to read the next book.Amazing

3By LuvswitchstoriesCreative plot. Relatable characters, even if they are angelic. Fun, quick read. Recommend to any looking for something a bit different, but still a cute teenage romance. Not overly, make-me-want-to-heave "romantic". 8o)Loved it!!!!
5By Wanda MillerI absolutely loved it!!! It was captivating and I stayed up until three so I didn't have to stop reading it!!! ( even risking finals the next day ;) ) I can't wait to read more from you in the future!Unearthly
5By berrybee2Best book I have ever read gona get all my friends to read it:)Amazing read.
5By emkirstenThis is the perfect combination adventure, first love, and pure clean fun. It's not very well written, but for her first novel the story line and plot are exceptional. She does a really good job of making believeable characters. If I moved to Wyoming right now I would expect to meet all the actors, it is almost like you know them all after reading this book. So if you aren't a critical reader and want a good read about adventure and first love, then this book is for you. Definately comparable to the Twilight series.Wow
5By Eek girlThis book is amazing with heart filled moments tht make me cry a side from the iffy cover the book is worth 5 stars
