Description

In the New York Times bestselling tie-in to the World of Warcraft game expansion: Cataclysm,
Thrall, wise shaman and the warchief of the Horde, senses a disturbing change.

Long ago, Azeroth’s destructive native elementals raged across the world until the benevolent titans imprisoned them within the Elemental Plane. Despite the titans’ intervention, many elementals have ended up back on Azeroth.

Over the ages, shamans like Thrall have communed with these spirits and, through patience and dedication, learned to soothe roaring infernos, bring rain to sun-scorched lands, and otherwise temper the elementals’ ruinous influence on the world of Azeroth.

Now Thrall has discovered that the elementals no longer heed the shaman’s call. While he seeks answers to what ails the confused elements, he also wrestles with the orcs’ precarious future as his people face dwindling supplies and growing hostility with their night elf neighbors.

The fate of Azeroth’s great races is shrouded in a fog of uncertainty, and the erratic behavior of the elemental spirits, troubling though it is, may only be the first ominous warning sign of the cataclysm to come.

Wonderful book that further pushes the World of Warcraft lore. However the cover displaying as Thrall:Twilight of the Aspects is very bothersome for my growing ebook collection. Please fix this.

Love the book, but can we fix the cover art please? It's currently displaying the cover art for Thrall:Twilight of the Aspects. I'd much rather have the unique cover art. I may be OCD, but please fix this.

This is a fantastic book, well written, well paced and amuse read especially if you are a world of Warcraft fan. Even if you are not, it's still a great read.

Very well written but kinda dull and does not really bridge into the new WoW expansion to much save explaining what happened to three characters. How do you not include Deathwing in this book?
  • 15$ please.

Absolutely amazing! If you play WoW, this is a must read! I literally lost sleep because I just could not stop reading, and I'm typically not much of a reader. The writing quality itself is nothing less than superb! And one thing I loved, was that it held very true to the game's Lore, Any questions you have about Cataclysm will be answered by this book. And I can honestly say it's one of the best I've ever read. Kudos Christie!!! Keep up the awesome work!

If you play WOW this book is a must read. It'll explain what the main characters in the game did prior to the Cataclysm. I couldn't put it down. Great job Christie!
  • Lovely book.

Upon having read this book... Rather during reading--I found myself unable to stray far from it. I needed to know more and keep reading. It was fascinating. I kept waiting and waiting for the world to break... Christie, the only negative thing I could say ... Is that your depicting of the cataclysm ... Was not ... Cataclysmic. However - the rest of the book - let alone the many other books she has written was/are superb. No complaints from me ... Just a good natured jab. :). If you like World of Warcraft at all ... Thus is an absolute must have. The storyline was superb ... Wonderful build ups and great character development even if a bit cliche for the genre. I love it and recommend it absolutely. Great work once again Christie.

I'v have most of the wow novels . If this is half as good as Arthas then I'll be pleased. Christy is an awsome author. This book is well worth the read.

I've been playing WoW since 2006 - and I've mostly stuck to in-game story telling. I read this book to get more insight into the coming Cataclysm expansion and I was pleased to get that and so much more. The author does a fantastic job of putting you in the characters, providing just the right mix of pacing and backstory to keep the pages turning. I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt - so, I'll have to wait till the December 7th launch of Cataclysm to get the rest of the story.

This was my first experience reading World of Warcraft "lore", but as someone rather new to the game, I found this book fascinating. It went to such depth to explain the characters and build them up. While I was really expecting a book about the shattering itself, this lead up has me all the more excited for the release and I truly look forward to reading more.
