The Last of the Mohicans
4By KDsKindle48Great story of race and learning equality of mind and heart and to awaken respect for other races and cultures. We are all made by One True God. Stilted language.I really enjoyed reading this classic!
5By DwebstertThe story showed how we can live together without judging based on skin color.Atmospheric novel
4By JohnCarter666It is an engaging story with memorable vivid scenes.Meh
3By JoshMDuemSome good parts. He writes with very long sentences like Dickens, but unlike Dickens, his writing isn’t very fun.Good read
4By archilnyOverly dramatic and verbose at times, but nevertheless a classic. It’s ok
3By Badgerhawk75Not a bad story. It’s hard to read and Cooper can be very long winded. But after 25 years, I finally read it.Last of the Mohicans

5By Choctaw maidenI had not read "The Last of the Mohicans" since I was about ten years of age, many, many, many years ago. I had forgotten it's sing song quality in tone. How very beautiful. I recommend this book to anyone, especially a person interested in the early American traditions of white and red races. It reads as a novel and yet as a history book. I was enthralled anew.Nothing like the movie
3By Kr11048If you think this is the worst book ever written, perhaps you shouldn't have dared to stray so far from your Tom Clancy/Danielle Steele little world into the land of early American literature. Though the writing here is extremely flowery even for its time period, the story itself is quite exciting. For those who liked the movie, this has almost nothing in common with it. There's little romance and lots of action.
