Description

“Dorsey differs from writers such as Carl Hiassen, James Hall, and Elmore Leonard…These guys fire bullets. Dorsey makes sure his gun is filled with hollow-point.”
—Sarasota Herald Tribune

He’s back in Electric Barracuda—the latest outrageous romp through the Sunshine State by Tim Dorsey, master of the zany crime thriller. This time Serge is a fugitive running from the police, and murder and mayhem have never been more over-the-top hilarious. Tim Dorsey’s Electric Barracuda is not to be missed. The Miami Herald put it best: “Nobody, but nobody, writes like this guy.”

Nobody does it like Serge. Along with Colman and a cast of crazy characters it's another non stop romp though the back roads of Florida. It's a history lesson with a murderous twist that page after page will leave you wanting more!!!!

you just have the love Serge & Coleman as they take their website followers on a tour of Florida through the eyes of someone on the run. you will again visit and learn all about the great obscure historical florida facts and learn how not to get caught while trying to experience them. this one gets jumping early as old nemisis Mahoney is rated fit for duty once again and aids the hot pursuit to catch Serge. with other memorable characters like Dog the bounty hunter and Skid Marks, you will be quickly in over your head in this wonderfully quick read. as usual, i am caught yearning for the next Dorsey/Serge Storm novel to be published....

I've enjoyed Dorsey's books in the past, but this one was so loosely frenetic that I kept wondering when the plot would form. After really struggling to stick with the book to it's conclusion, one is rewarded with an amusing ending. However I don't think the struggle is worth the reward. I'd recommend passing on this one.

Fun filled chase throughout southern Florida's Everglades. Serge, Coleman and a special guest get chased by the usual Agents, Mahoney and a "Dog" Bounty Hunter who's more entertaining than the real one. Best of all Serge and his group don't even know their being chased. Throw in a legend of Al Capone and the infamous US41 Loop Road of the Everglades and you have Tim Dorsey's best novel yet. THE best twist and feel good ending. You'll love it!!!

This starts out a little slow but gathers momentum that involves Serge at his best. Florida history and memorabilia. Serge has his long time Nemesis Mahoney chasing him all across the state of Florida. Serge's friends aid him to keep one step ahead of the Feds. I. Addition to his stoner friend Coleman there is a surprise third member of the gang. It all races to a great conclusion with a surprise ending. This Is Tim Dorsey's finest effort yet.
