NOW THE ACCLAIMED HBO SERIES GAME OF THRONES—THE MASTERPIECE THAT BECAME A CULTURAL PHENOMENON
Here is the first book in the landmark series that has redefined imaginative fiction and become a modern masterpiece.
A GAME OF THRONES
In a land where summers can last decades and winters a lifetime, trouble is brewing. The cold is returning, and in the frozen wastes to the North of Winterfell, sinister and supernatural forces are massing beyond the kingdom’s protective Wall. At the center of the conflict lie the Starks of Winterfell, a family as harsh and unyielding as the land they were born to. Sweeping from a land of brutal cold to a distant summertime kingdom of epicurean plenty, here is a tale of lords and ladies, soldiers and sorcerers, assassins and bastards, who come together in a time of grim omens. Amid plots and counterplots, tragedy and betrayal, victory and terror, the fate of the Starks, their allies, and their enemies hangs perilously in the balance, as each endeavors to win that deadliest of conflicts: the game of thrones.
A GAME OF THRONES • A CLASH OF KINGS • A STORM OF SWORDS • A FEAST FOR CROWS • A DANCE WITH DRAGONS

5By PaganTree009since the days of J.R.R. Tolkien, there has never been a greater writer of the fantasy genre than the king himself, George RR Martin. The first book I read of his was fire and blood. I was dumbfounded by the way it’s drew me in and kept me reading and only wanting more. This book is no different. From the very first chapter, it was a chore to put this book down. The characters are magnetic. The descriptions he gives of the land he is made in his mind breathtaking. A simply spellbinding read that everyone should experience.Truly a masterpiece

5By Reading 'n Writing 1635Without a doubt best historical/ fantasy/fiction! So much scraped out of European medieval history and folklore— and that includes the Red Wedding. Sadly George is never going to finish the next book let alone the series. Read the books then watch the series.Very good book!

5By AugustLily23This is a fantastic series!! I’m on a mission to read 50 books in a year. I’ve hit the halfway mark and decided to reread this series since Dance wasn’t out yet when I read it previously. I’m a huge fan of the show - but like most, the books are better by far. A Game of Thrones kept me captured the entire way through. Dany is my favorite character and I found myself reading and then counting the chapters until I would hear from her again. Martins style of story telling is beautiful.. I love how much detail is poured into these books but yet they move through time quickly without sacrifice. It’s easy to while the day away reading this book. If you’re debating whether to read them, you must! The size of the book is a little intimidating, but once you’ve sunk your teeth in you’ll be so glad because the story is soooo amazing! I feel this book and the first season of the show are most alike. Once you move on to A Clash of Kings you’ll notice more of the story is left out of the show. I’m looking forward to the final two books... I have full confidence that George will hook us up with a fabulous ending that gives us all the detail we crave. Also, for the huge fans like me.. read A World of Ice and Fire. It isn’t written as a story like this series, but I loved the reading the history of Westeros. Just an absolute phenomenal world created here!! Through and through.Game of thrones and for a good reason it was named that title
4By Ignacio2017It is a great story but you have to get used to the writhers way of writing. It tells you the story from different characters point of viewThis book spawned the retarded TV show
