Private Bronwyn Hyatt had left her small town of Needsville for the army to escape the pressures of her mystical Tufa family legacy. She returns a lone survivor after a disastrous attack overseas, wounded in body and spirit.
But cryptic omens warn of impending tragedy, and a restless haint lurks nearby, waiting to reveal Bronwyn's darkest secrets. Now Bronwyn finds the greatest battle lies right in her backyard, especially as young minister with too much curiosity arrives in town. If she makes the wrong choice, the consequences could be deadly for all the Tufa. . . .

I love this book
5By Meatball 2I read it about 3 years ago and still think about itNice read
4By Kona WahineStrong characters and an interesting story line. I recommend for light reading. My only disappointment was the lack of depth and richness in the "songs". Maybe a collaboration with a poet would make the songs what they should be.I can almost hear the night wind...
5By MusicwithK9sBledsoe makes his characters come alive by making them true to life. If you've ever been in the Appalachia Mts, this story will remind you of a place where Christmas lights stay up all year, the lush greenery is vibrant and decaying, creeks are muddy and every yard has rusting junk, lawn ornaments, or both. His people are neither all good or all bad, but a realistic mix of traits, abilities and circumstances that breeds hope and shows potential. I particularly liked the idea of music as a genetic identifier and tool, with songs of power and the healing strength of family. A great read!Excellent read!
5By Starr ParrishI couldn't put this one down - a book I could re-read in a year and still enjoy just as much. Definitely adding this one to my permanent collection.Great book
5By rrwiseguyMy daughter gave me this book for Christmas. I really enjoyed reading it. It was well written, and it kept me guessing all the way through. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
