It truly can be an introductory course in science that you or I would take in college but never know a teacher like Carl Sagan could teach. The reviewers know what they were saying about it when I read it. The best science book of the 20th century, it is.Sagan's words do not require pictures.

5By That’s a TreeI have read this book at least 3 or 4 times and watched the TV series about the same number. Incredibly interesting and inspiring. Sagan was a genius, and this book is his masterpiece.No Photos - Description is incorrect

I'm happy to have the digital edition but THERE ARE NO PHOTOS - there are some maps, but the gorgeous photos in the full color hardback edition are SO not here despite the description that made me want to buy the book. A lesson to look at the reviews before buying. :(Where are the illustrations?

The thing is I can remember reading and flipping thru this book back when it first came out. I remember all the pics. that should be here but are not. Please please please correct this otherwise you are guilty of false advertising. Either stop claiming are many beautiful pictures in this book or fix it. I would rather have it fixed. 5By ChronicpainbearAfter seeing this book in the library I bought the electronic version and after seeing the real book I am very dissapointed there are no pictures in this version because some of the photos in this book are awesome. The description kind of misleads you to believe the pictures are included.No mis-interpretation here....

No, the as-promised images do not appear on our iPads today, BUT, if you are to purchase this to be a picture-book; you are purchasing it for incorrect reasoning. This is a legendary read in the Universal world. Do not dis-credit.Great food for thought!!!!!
