A mostly all around good girl, she tithes to the church on time, she never shops in the eight items or less line with more than eight items, and she never mixes silk with cotton or misses a sale for more than 50% off. A little slow in places, a little spicy in others (yay), but just right in my opinion!!! Sorta Evanovich-ish, back when Stephanie Plum books were good!! I hope there's a sequel…

This is the second book I have read by Bevill. The first one was "Bubba and the dead woman" and was absolutely delightful. This one started out well and then for some reason launched into all kinds of sexual acts. I have found that this usually happens when the author is unsure of his/herself and use it as a crutch for poorly written story lines. This isn't the case with this story, which was interesting and funny and the sex gratuitous. Please author, don't cheapen yourself like this again.

C.L. Bevill really knows how to write a great story. Not only was this a fabulous "who done it" mystery, it was downright hilarious and quirky. I wish there were more stories with this character and her friends and family. I would totally read them. Loved it!
