- Release Date: 2011-11-01
- Genre: Dystopian Fiction for Young Adults
Description
The hotly awaited second book in the dystopian Matched trilogy
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky - taken by the Society to his certain death - only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.
Cassia's quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander - who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia's heart - change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

5By Yes and No 123456789What I love about this book, is that it has a really great story and it is a dystopian romance and those are the kind of books I enjoy. I don’t think I would say anything bad about this book.Nice twist
5By Noah’s PodcastsThe book is a little slow at first but it makes up almost instantly. Has some good plot twists in it. Best series I’ve read in a while!! Highly recommend!!!Luv it

4By kaiheart22Although I love this series, this book was great but lacked the action that the first book had.Decent
3By Tory BrennanI liked Matched, but Crossed wasn’t as good. This book wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t amazing. I’d give it like 3.5 stars. But they finally have a good character: Vick. I like him a lot. (For some reason, he kinda reminds me a little of Newt from Maze Runner)This is the best sequel to the Book Matched. Deffenity reconmend

5By queemariaI am in love with this book❤️❤️Book critic
4By 2 unicorns $:$:&&:):):$Its okay. There was not much action, New characters are interesting. Matched was better. If you are like me that you enjoy some romance but a lot ruins the plot. You will get bored of it. At first Ky and Cassie was adventures but then shortly bored me.Ehhh
3By maddiesuThis book was okay, not good or great, but also not terrible or bad. It's in the middle. This book was very hard for me to read since it got very boring in most parts of the book, Cassia and Indie walking through the Carving while Ky, Vick, and Eli are traveling in the Carving too. Blah blah blah. The only exciting part of the book is when Cassia and Ky reunite. But what I like about this book is that it's very poetic and not like most teen novels I've read. To me, the poems Ally Condie writes for the readers also gets me thinking about the meaning of the lines of the poem. Very interesting. I would definitely say the first book "Matched" is better than this second book. I really hope Reached is amazing, this series has been very interesting to read and follow despite this second book. I'd would give it a 5/10😍😍😍
5By MoonlightktCan someone make a movie for this series already??!! 😩😩😩good
4By Aly's bad reviewThe book it self was good, but it was confusing the 2 people perspective so i restarded it.Love love love
5By Googie1073I love this series so much I loved the first one and this one! I can't wait to read the last one!! Kept me on the edge of my seat! If your looking for a good series this is what you want!Ok
2By Izzy123KIt was so boring! It didn't make sense at all! I didn't really like this book. I did like the changes Cassia goes though to become a stronger woman! I like hearing both Ky and Cassia's POV's throughout. But it was slow, confusing, and felt not real.Amazing! Ally Condie is an awesome writer it's like poetry
5By CjenckrndlOne of the best books and I read a lot! Great writing amazing characters it keeps u pulled in the whole timeYeah, not really
2By Goldbunny3289572I have to admit, I was disappointed with this book. There wasn’t much happening in Matched, but I felt as if events in it would lead up to something in this book. Not really. Nothing happens. There is no suspense, no anticipation. Things just happened. And here is another story that has a distopian society, an uprising. I mean, I was intrigued with the first book as it had the same concept, yet the difference was the society was PERFECT. Now this book dips to the normal pool of books just like it. Honestly, Divergent was so similar to the Hunger Games, yet I found that to be a really good book. Nothing new here. Lets not forget the poetry thing. It’s okay, but now its starting to annoy me. Poetry is nice, I like it. But this? Ky and Cassia are obsessed with poetry! I am getting irritated! Overall, a huge disappointment. I expected more. Not to mention, the character Vick, who was a character I liked, died. Ugh.Amazing
5By D/L/MI loved this book! I read it in one day! I feel like it filled all the gaps in the first book and left a perfect cliff hanger for the next book, reached. It is full of emotion and the writing is really, really, good. Each chapter ends making you want to read more, to find out whats going to happen next. You can spell boring: C-R-O-S-S-E-D
1By HolabachoThis 2nd installment of the crossed series was a real let down. It was all a love triangle with no progress and there was no action to interest boys at all. Don't read it pick up divergent or the hunger games instead
