Wow!5By DocEvans007Loved the Sandman series and when my friend told me about this book I picked it up. Amazing read! Characters, plot, and pace are superb. This is one of those books that you have to read. I also liked the excerpts of audio.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION5By RyanMeredithI've purchased & downloaded hundreds of iBooks to my iPad over the years. However, this iBook is the first one that I could not download. I'm not sure if the file is corrupt or what the situation is. I spent 2 hours and tried every single trick I know (restarting my iPad; deleting & reinstalling iBooks; etc). No matter what I did, this ebook would NOT download. Download one of the other versions of 'American Gods' instead.
Great author. Great book.5By Brien8This novel has a fantasy feel to it, while still being rooted in modern America. It blends mythology with the trappings of our current culture. It is a great book, well written with interesting characters and a creative premise. The main character is likable, and it is interesting seeing his thought process and motivations while going through very extraordinary circumstances. This was the first of Neil Gaiman's books that I read. I really enjoy Gaiman's writing, and have read most of his books - all of which I enjoyed, but American Gods is my favorite.
One of my favorite reads, ever.5By AntnyRoRecommend this book to Everyone!
