Description
In The Calling, the sizzling second book in the Darkness Rising trilogy, New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong pumps up the romance, danger, and suspense that left readers of The Gathering clamoring for more.
Maya Delaney's paw-print birthmark is the mark of what she truly is—a skin-walker. She can run faster, climb higher, and see better than nearly everyone else.
Experiencing intense connections with the animals that roam the woods outside her home, Maya knows it's only a matter of time before she's able to Shift and become one of them. And she believes there may be others in her small town with surprising talents.
Now Maya and her friends have been forced to flee from their homes during a forest fire they suspect was deliberately set. Then they're kidnapped, and after a chilling helicopter crash, they find themselves in the Vancouver Island wilderness with nothing but their extraordinary abilities to help them get back home.

Thrilling!
5By Fukai MoriThese books are so awesome. I love how she writes it in Maya's view and makes it easy to understand the parts of the story that most authors would leave out, not sure how to describe it. It kinda sounds like she's had a few of those experiences herself. I can't wait to read how these two groups find each other. So hurry up and find your muse to write it!Addictive

5By jelletinnyI, personally, love supernatural fiction, and this is exactly my type of book. I first was attracted to Kelley Armstrong when her Darkness Powers series came out, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by how captivating they were. I was eager and impatient for more. But when The Gathering came out, I was shocked, it was almost ten times better than the last trilogy! I love all the questions and mystery incorporated in the novel, it kept me obsessing about it for months!(talk about a large library fine- I should've just bought the book!) this sequel was no let down- it kept up my hunger for more books, when, to be honest, I didn't expect her to satisfy my need. It more than did the job. I loved this book, and I hope you do too, Kelley, if you're reading this- keep up the good work!Awesome
