This is a must for Downton fans! The well-organized book contains interesting chapters on how the upper classes and their servants lived in England before World War I. I found this historical and social context adding to my enjoyment of the production and I really appreciated all of the attention to detail taken by the producers. I also loved the book's plentiful photographs from the both the production and the real life people and settings that are the counterparts to the Downton world. Completing this essential volume, the book includes production notes and various cast members' recollections during filming. A very thoughtfully conceived viewers' companion!
