This was an insightful book. It's also a silly book in certain regards. While written from a womans perspective you start trying to figure out where the author falls in her categorizations. This is where the silliness comes into play. Still, it's not just a book of it's time. There are bits of it that can be used and applied to yourself and the world. Making sure to break down your analysis further then what the book describes is where it falls apart. It's a good book to read but remember that the point of the book is for you to take what you've read and apply it to the people around you. Keep that lesson in mind and you'll appreciate the value this book brings.

It was very interesting and informative, some of the content felt repetitive but a great general understanding of the five people types .

Wrong vision of the human being, sometime even a racist analysis, the author is completly detached from reality
  • Simple observations do help

I liked the basic facts to look for in common looks and behavior of a person to help understand how to better know how to work or socialize . Also some of the does and don’ts that can help others to know how they can embitter there own lives or deal with others.

It is very difficult to follow. Each subsection highlights different points and there is very little cohesiveness. It is definitely something I'd read to pass time but would not recommend to anyone for whatever reason.
  • Really outdated

Concentrates on body types and makes lots of assumptions based on nothing but how fat or slim people are. Bad read
  • An Honest Guide to People.

This book identifies 5 different systems and behavior that people are partial to. It is an in-depth look at appearance, tendencies, and dispositions for people of the Alimentive, Thoracic, Muscular, Osseous, and Cerebra type. While probably not the only way of discerning people and understanding them, this narrative makes clear the actions and features of people to certain systems that I had come across in life. I would reccommend it. It was a good read.

Don’t take it literal. And remember it was written around 1921. Still interesting to read.
