A nail-biting adventure that takes place in a circus. Also, it's refreshing to read a young narrator who doesn't curse like a sailor and agonizes over the number of boys she's kissed, not the number of boys she's slept with. If those boys would stand still for five minutes, they'd write a damn. The performers were, for the most part, of very ordinary ability.
