The New York Times Bestseller
“Andy Cohen's new book Most Talkative is laugh-out-loud funny. Anyone who likes pop culture will really like this book. It's a perfect read for this summer.”
—Anderson Cooper
The man behind the Real Housewives writes about his lifelong love affair with pop culture that brought him from the suburbs of St. Louis to his own television show
From a young age, Andy Cohen knew one thing: He loved television. Not in the way that most kids do, but in an irrepressible, all-consuming, I-want-to-climb-inside-the-tube kind of way. And climb inside he did. Now presiding over Bravo's reality TV empire, he started out as an overly talkative pop culture obsessive, devoted to Charlie's Angels and All My Children and to his mother, who received daily letters from Andy at summer camp, usually reminding her to tape the soaps. In retrospect, it's hard to believe that everyone didn't know that Andy was gay; still, he remained in the closet until college. Finally out, he embarked on making a career out of his passion for television.
The journey begins with Andy interviewing his all-time idol Susan Lucci for his college newspaper and ends with him in a job where he has a hand in creating today's celebrity icons. In the witty, no-holds-barred style of his show Watch What Happens Live, Andy tells tales of absurd mishaps during his ten years at CBS News, hilarious encounters with the heroes and heroines of his youth, and the real stories behind The Real Housewives. Dishy, funny, and full of heart, The New York Times bestseller, Most Talkative, provides a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the world of television, from a fan who grew up watching the screen and is now inside it, both making shows and hosting his own.

3By DaretolaughFirstly, I must say that I love, love, love Andy Cohen! If I am truly honest, I read this book, simply, because I have always wanted to be besties with Andy! I have often thought that he would be so fun and hilarious to hang out with. This book proved me right! It was not only filled with wonderful pop culture commentary, but his writing style is authentic, down-to earth, honest, funny, with just the right touch of making fun - and fun of himself - and a sweet and gentle vulnerability. It was also fascinating to learn more about his career, in his early years, and was like a window, into programming news, as well as the deliciously trashy Housewives franchise. I highly recommend this book - well written, relatable, and highly entertaining! Andy, if you are reading this: You are MY Susan Lucci!!! (You will have to read the book to learn more about this reference).Best Summer Read!
5By Michelle F from CTHow or why I waited so long to read Andy's book is something I can't explain. As a fan of all things Bravo and being in love with the charming AC, I was absolutely giddy reading this book. I could hear Andy's voice and intonation throughout. A fun summer read that doesn't disappoint. On vacation with my extended family, I would sometimes slip away to do a little quiet reading. Yeah, right. I was always busted- my giggles gave me away every time. Most Talkative is Most Real
5By HeleneJoyAndy's honesty and self-deprecating, "everyperson" perspective was unexpected. A fun glimpse inside.Unconditional Love
5By Shell624This book simply made me love Andy even more then I already did. It gave me insight to his humility and self depreciating character that I readily see every night he's on WWHL.He's my Susan Lucci! Although we've never met, I'm sure I'd flop sweat if we did. Most Talkative
5By nyegallatyAndy Cohen's book paints a portrait of a man who is just as kind, funny & endearing as the guy we see on WWHL. This book is a great collection of insider stories from TV news to reality drama. The best stories stem from his family times and I love the vision I get of his family & friends. And his poignant memories of his struggles in regards to his sexuality is told with humor & heart. I hope I offer as safe an environment for my grandson when he comes out as Andy had when telling his family & friends. It shows that if you surround yourself with the right people, you will find a 'revelation' such as that not as big of a deal to those you tell. Thank you for sharing it with us, Andy. Great book!! Highly recommended.Very entertaining!
5By LastFM stinksReally enjoyed this book! It was a fun and easy read. Loved the inside scoop on reality TV and celebrities. A guilty pleasure.Love Andy Cohen
5By ShilcalThough I resisted as hard as I could, my daughters turned me into a Bravo junky. I sit mesmerized by the housewives and their antics. I have even sucked my husband into watching a few episodes. I talked myself out of buying your book for quite a while. Sorry I did that. This book makes me love Andy Cohen (Caroline and Dina! - team Caroline by the way) even more. I laughed out loud more times than I can count. Reading your struggles while facing whether to come out or not gave me more perspective. It helped me understand that no matter how much we love and accept our gay friends and family, they are on a constant journey. Hopefully soon our world will become a place where equality for gays is not part of the news. Who cares about gay or straight? Who cares about skin color or religion? It is just the way we live! I know I probably didn't express it well but I hope you understand. I started your book yesterday afternoon and finished it this morning. Loved it! Look forward to watching you on the reunions and WWHL!American Pop Memoir Is A Classic!
5By mcleod4Thank you, Andy, for sharing your life, your talent, and behind the scenes recount of the Bravo empire evolution. Your stats guys got it right when assessing the education level of your Bravo fans. As a married mom of two girls (hubby former NFL lineman) and public high school teacher with a Master's Degree, I outed myself as a closet Real Housewife groupie over the years, expanding my Bravo addiction to stressed out fashion goddesses like Rachel Zoe, damsel in distress Jeff the Flipper, gay real estate agents, chefs, shrinks, and now your late night gig. Your book was so brilliant-candid, personal, although your dating life still a mystery, and transparent enough to explain the workings of one of the most creative networks on TV. You redefined Soaps but let me pitch an idea...a reality show about YOU- you have the tan, worldly traveled, great celebrity connections, HILARIOUS, and are an attractive gay man- you just need an exotic pet to nail the ratings! Call me! Great read while I recovered from foot surgery. Blessings. PS- I want your parents as guests on your show!!!So good!
5By THEcdoublemI loved this book...a funny, interesting, easy read! Made me fall even more in love with Andy!Creatively narrated
5By Ang RoblesI loved reading how Andy got his start in television and all the fun he had along the way. Andy gave us insight into his past, but kept his love life private. Despite that, I loved this book... I love Andy Cohen! Most Talkative
