Dr. Claire Weekes… wow a woman so far ahead of her time. This book is amazing! If you’re even on the fence about buying it, do it! It explains in detail the cause of anxiety/panic and more importantly explains to you the “cure”. No matter how long you’ve been suffering from anxiety it is possible to overcome! Also.. as a side note; I believe everybody should read this book whether struggling with anxiety personally or not. I would give this 10 stars if I could.

I have never, ever written a review on anything in my life. But, it was the previous reviews I read that made me decide to purchase this book, so if there are others out there who are suffering from being in a constant state of anxiety, feeling paralyzed with fear, a prisoner to their own thoughts, and have started to believe that there is surely no way out, I hope this review helps you. This book described the very things I’ve been feeling to an exactness that frightened me at first. So much so, that I had to put the book down and step away for a while because the content resonated so deeply with me. Finally, something that thoughtfully explained the many variations of anxiety as an illness, along with other manifestations born of and tied to fear. By no means is my anxiety journey complete or fully resolved. However, after reading this book, I feel I have the tools and a better understanding of how to deal with the anxiety I have struggled with for far too long. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to better understand, manage and hopefully, one day, conquer their anxiety for good.

I URGE anyone dealing with negative feelings, especially anxiety, to immediately read this work of sheer intelligence. This woman deserves all the recognition in the world. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this book. This book is the reason I left my home today. And it only took me 2 days to read because of how engrossed I became in her wisdom. Do yourself a favor: Read this beautiful book, then read it again. 💛

I can't express enough the overwhelming positivity this book gave me after reading it. Im 28 and out of nowhere in my life i ended up with anxiety, panic attacks and later depression. I waisted no time looking for a cure, treatment, methods, things to ease my mind before the next 100 google questions. I ran across a forum where they spoke of this book and it was my first purchase towards recovery. I had landed in the hospital, cut myself off from so many things, stopped eating, just fealt lost and that no one would ever understand or could understand in my life what i was going through. This book changed that for me and quickly, lots of rest helped too. It takes time to work but if you constantly refer to it or apply it you will see great results. My nerves were completely shot out and they do take time to calm so thats why I say im almost cured. I still have a random symptom pop up from time to time but this is only temporary as each day i feel little bit better than the day before. I have had setbacks but ive also learned how to overcome them and move on to my progress. Dont give up on yourself and dont let anyone ever tell you that you cant recover because you can with just this book alone. If Dr. Claire Weekes was still alive I would consider traveling to the other end of the world just to thank her for giving me so much back. If you are patient and apply these techniques they will work on there own. You dont need meds or all the other fancy stuff i promise. At one time or another i experienced every symptom she described in her book but using the same techniques that she gives you pulled me away from those symptoms. Patience with yourself is key. I remember first buying the book and thinking this cant be all it takes, it wont work, i need something quicker, im going to fall apart.....dont think that way. Buy this or borrow it from someone and you will be glad you did. Stay strong friends.

This book was recommended to me by my therapist, who said it is known to be the definitive book on anxiety disorders. I had to gain courage to read it and face what it would say. And, while reading I did face many dark emotional moments, but time to accept and face what Weekes discusses probably now has saved the sense of joy in my life, and my very life itself. This book is a blessing for the religious and non-religious, those who want to cower from fear and those who hurt because they so often find themselves facing and fighting their fears. It changed my life, and seems to have done so for so many others. If you have had a nervous breakdown, or are in the midst of severe anxiety, read this book when you are ready. It may save you too. Thank you so much, Dr. Weekes.
