Description

You are ninety minutes away from mastering Google+. That's all it takes. But don't take Guy's word for it. Here's what three experts have to say about What the Plus! Google+ for the Rest of Us:

"We didn't expect over 100,000,000 people to join Google+ so quickly. If we had, we might have written a tutorial like this one. Lucky for us, Guy has written this wonderful introduction to Google+. Highly recommended!" Vic Gundotra, Senior Vice-President, Social, Google

"What The Plus is the G+ motherlode! Guy's book will make you fall madly in love with Google+ and never look back!" Mari Smith, author The New Relationship Marketing and coauthor Facebook Marketing: An Hour A Day

"People ask me why I like Google+ better. I struggle to find the words, but Guy Kawasaki not only figured it out but shows you how to get the most out of this new social network." Robert Scoble, Rackspace videoblogger

As a writer, I especially appreciate the author's thorough coverage and precise language. His enthusiastic and non-condescending tone are appropriate to this how-to book. Excellent execution.

I appreciated Guy sharing the free PDF of this book so much (and the iBooks version is formatted better for highlighting than the free one), that I happily bought this version. Google + has a few areas that do need some explaining, and Guy's clear, fast, fun explanations made it feel more like reading a blog post than a user's manual. This book is a great way to jump into Google + and not feel you'll make newbie mistakes. It also clearly compares Google + to the other top services, so you know the advantages & shortcomings of each. In that way, this is an excellent read on social media in general & I'm having my team members also read the book to really get Google +'s place on the 'net. I can't wait to do my first hangout with out photo team to easily do training and planning! Some of what I learned: + Facebook is about the People you already know + Google + is about the Passions you share with those you may not yet know + To that, I'd add, Google + is the Practical way to communicate with you team via hangouts + Google + allows your followers to see 100% of your posts (compared to the new Facebook system, which Guy gives solid facts on) + Guy explains the Google + Circles concept for organizing & it'll save me so much time over filtering through the cruft on Facebook If you have any interest in social sharing, wonder if Google + is for you, or are just getting fed up with Facebook... Get this book and get on Google + with us :-)

Guy provides an amazingly thorough yet never dry insight into Google+ with this book. It's like nothing else I've read on the subject. Hat tip for another must have resource.

This reference is great if you are just starting out with Google+ and want an extensive map on making the most of this new platform. And for the "experienced" early adopters who jumped on board in the beginning, you may be surprised to learn a few new tricks yourself. Enjoy!

As a relative new user to Google+ this book was a real eye opener on tips and strategies on not only how to use the interface, but how to get the most out of the time spent on G+. I thoroughly enjoyed his writing style and I appreciated that he brought in guest writers to do a chapter each on G+ for women, and G+ for the ordinary user. The time spent reading this book has made me a more effective user of the service. Get this book; the price is right and the return on invested time is enormous.

Guy's book really covers it all. Very well done and clear. Someone new to G+ can go slow and try examples along the way.
