Description

Is this the day I die? Li Quan asks himself this question daily, knowing that he might be killed for practicing his faith. American businessman Ben Fielding has no idea what his brilliant former college roommate is facing in China. He expects his old friend has fulfilled his dream of becoming a university professor. But when they are reunited in China after twenty years, both men are shocked at what they discover about each other. Thrown together in an hour of encroaching darkness, both must make choices that will determine not only the destinies of two men, but two families, two nations, and two worlds.

I have read this book several times and have given away many, many copies. For me, it is an inspirational life changer. I have never been to China but I now appreciate what it is to be a committed believer anywhere. Randy's envisioning and descriptive writing gives a unique perspective to the interaction between events in heaven and the events on earth. My actions are to be heaven-driven and Biblically based. There are 56 short chapters. Even though I have read it several times, I begin to cry and worship at chapter 51. This book has changed my beliefs, my thinking, my walk, my life and the lives of those men I mentor. I enjoy the drama and correct pronunciation in the audio version also. Give God the opportunity to mature you through reading this book.

One of the best books I have ever read. It makes you appreciate the things that really matter. Having read the print copy, and bought others for friends to read, I decided I need to keep a copy on my iPad.
