Mountains consist of the compressed ruins of countless long forgotten civilizations and are populated by other worldly beings and simple humans who are described with a vibrant immediacy and unapologetic complexity. The only caveat I'd place on this magnificent writer is that he is not for the lazy or superficial reader.Use this book as a sleeping pill
