Description

Many people are aware of the atrocities committed by Germany in World War II, but would consider them ancient history. These people are completely unaware of the legacy which Adolf Hitler drew upon in creating his Nazi war machine. His was merely the latest resurrection of a war-making empire with a long and bloody history. Did you know that the Bible prophesied of his regime-as well as the terrible emergence of one last resurrection in our day?

In this booklet:
• The Resurgence of Nazi Germany
• Germany's Earliest Roots
• The Unholy Roman Empire
• Hitler and the Holy Roman Empire
• Germany in Prophecy

I highly recommend this for all interested in learning more about the Philadelphia Church of God specifically, or those looking to learn more about the Bible and Christian tradition. There’s a lot about biblical prophecy as well. I always enjoy a book by Gerald Flurry and the wonderful writers at The Trumpet.

I am ashamed that this book seems to be stuck forever in my iBooks. It is an example of trying cram selected historical facts and biblical facts together, but fails as a book because it ignores the actual historical record. It is just a piece of slander against a group of people and ignore Jesus's teachings.
  • An extreme far-right Christian rant about how Germans are inherently evil

Like the title says, this work is nothing more than a rant that's only good for laughing at. It is NOT a history tract in any sense of the word. In fact, it outright spits on history: The last time I read something so ignorant and asinine was in college when we read snippets of Mein Kampf about how all Jews and Slavs were evil. This kind of thing makes me almost embarrassed to be Christian, since it makes me and a lot of other nice people look like raging jerks with a stick up our butts the size of the Eiffel Tower. Basically, the authors claim that the Germans are the descendants of the Assyrians and are all inherently evil because of that. Apparently the authors forgot that in the Bible, the Assyrians genuinely repented when Jonah told them God didn't like their current behavior and they were given a second chance by God, so they could not possibly be all bad even if we just use the Bible as a source. They also forgot that Germany produced the Protestant Reformation which their own movement almost certainly descends from, and that Germany has repeatedly, publicly, and genuinely repented for its crimes in World War 2. Having visited the Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany, I can attest to this fact. Or maybe they didn't forget and they just don't care. Probably that, all things considered. They say Germany will basically become Antichrist: The Nation and lead the evil of the world against God's chosen people; Britain, Israel, and the United States. And nobody else. Hmm. I could've sworn there were some Christians living in a few other countries like France, Ethiopia, and Venezuela, but clearly I'm not one of God's enlightened because I disagree with the authors, so what do I know? Be smarter than this. I don't care where you fall on the political spectrum, who you support, what you believe, or who you are: You owe it to yourself not to give hate-filled crap like this the time of day. Look at multiple sources. Do the research. Educate yourself about the world and these issues so you don't buy into illogical, apocalyptic fantasies like this.

Dont read this book if youre looking for intelligent scholarship and real history. If youre looking to reinforce a narrow religious world view then this book is for you.

This book truly proves German and the Holy Roman Empire from a biblical standpoint.

This is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it. History does repeat itself if we dont learn from it.

I believe this is one of the biggest lumps of garbage I have ever seen. Taking this seriously is like saying the u.s. is the best country in the world. It is very opinionated and I understand I am not the target audience. However, I recommend reading more about German history before ostracizing them.
