5By bonchRed Son is one of the best Superman stories. There's something striking and foreign about Superman's altered chest emblem and colors. The Cold War fear is captured well, with Americans lining the walls of their homes with lead to avoid the all-seeing eyes of the Soviet Superman. Established DC characters are re-imagined for this alternate timeline, from Batman to Wonder Woman. A classic.
