Description

Private Practice by Samanthe Beck:

He'll teach her how to bring a man to his knees…

Dr. Ellie Swan has a plan: open her practice in tiny Bluelick, Kentucky, so she can keep an eye on her diabetic father, and make hometown golden-boy Roger Reynolds fall in love with her. But Ellie has a problem. Roger seeks a skilled, sexually adventurous partner, and bookish Ellie doesn't qualify.

Tyler Longfoot only cares about three things: shaking his bad boy image, qualifying for the loan his company needs to rehab a piece of Bluelick's history, and convincing Ellie to keep quiet about the "incident" that lands him on her doorstep at two a.m. with a bullet in his behind.

The adorable Dr. Swan drives a mean bargain, though. If sex-on-a-stick Tyler will teach Ellie how to bring a man to his knees, she'll forget about the bullet. Armed with The Wild Woman's Guide to Sex and Tyler's lessons, Ellie is confident she can become what Roger needs…if she doesn't fall for Tyler first.

Ellie moved back to her hometown to start her new practice and take care of her father. She was the geeky girl growing up who bloomed later in life. She's always had a crush on the high school quarterback so when she finds out he is newly single, she sets her sight on him. The rumor was his longtime girlfriend broke up with him because he was too kinky. Ellie wanted to make sure she is what he's looking for and what better way than have the town bad boy teach her to be more wild? This was a very cute and enjoyable novella. Ellie was still a bit geeky but very straightforward with Tyler with what she wanted. I loved her character. Her type A personality up against Tyler's easy going attitude was comical at times. Tyler, despite the bad boy rep, was the total package. He was a gentleman at heart and hot in the bedroom. The way he took care of Ellie was just adorable. The small town vibe just added to the story. Fun read! ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
