Drama, danger and sexual tension... Romantic suspense at its best.”—Night Owl Reviews, 5/5 Stars, Reviewer Top Pick

The rules she lives by are meant to keep her and her heart safe. But when her life is on the line, can does she dare risk her heart?

"Wild" Bill Reichert knows a thing or two about explosives. The ex-Navy SEAL can practically rig a bomb blindfolded. But there’s no way to diffuse the inevitable fireworks the day Eve Edens walks back into his life, asking for help…

Eve doesn’t know what to do when the Chicago police won’t believe someone is out to hurt her. The only place to turn is Black Knights Inc—after all, no one is better at protection than the covert special-ops team. Yet there’s also no one better at getting her all turned on than Billy Reichert. She has a feeling this is one blast from the past that could backfire big time…

OMG!! I LOVED this book!!! I have been waiting for Bill and Eve’s story since In Rides Trouble when we got to see them interact the first time (and I was starting to think that they were going to be last after all the other Black Knights were taken care of and I wasn’t sure I could be that patient). The emotions that roll off these two are incredibly powerful and their chemistry (both good and bad) is electric. Eve is sure that someone is trying to kill her but almost no one will believe her. With no other recourse she turns to the Black Knights, the covert military men whose cover is protected by her best friend Becky (In Rides Trouble), among them is her former flame “Wild” Bill Reichert (Becky’s older brother). Their relationship died a painful death 12 years before and these two can barely be in the same room together. Unfortunately most of the Knights are away (including Becky and Boss) so if anyone is going to help her it’s going to have to be Bill, assisted by Mac and Ace (who we’ve heard about in previous books but haven’t really met yet). They have both grown and matured in the 12 years they’ve been apart. Eve is no longer the easily manipulated, pushover she was at 18 and Bill is a battle hardened warrior. Throughout this book they have to explore their feelings for one another all while Eve’s life is being threatened. I loved meeting Mac and Ace and am very much looking forward to their stories being told (Mac is up next with Delilah in Hell for Leather). Can I just say again how much I LOVED this book!! The Black Knights series is a little darker than what I usually read but it has become one of my absolute FAVORITE series as Ms. Walker is such an amazing story teller. One of the things I love about these books is they are told from multiple POV’s and it’s not just the Hero and Heroine (in this book we got POV’s from Eve, Bill, Mac, Ace, Delilah and the villain) but never so many you can’t keep track. To recap: love the series; LOVED the book; can’t wait for more!!
