Description

This book deals with the subject of baptism, its meaning, practice and the Christian doctrine relating to the subject. The Gospel of Matthew related how Jesus gave authors to his apostles to go into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost. The subject and practice of baptism has cause contention among those professing the Christian faith ranging from, what baptism is, how it is to be performed, who is eligible to baptize, Its effect and value. The subject is treated from my personal experience, as a believer, and how I encountered the various errors over 50 years as a Christian and how I sort to resole the issues that I faced in connection to baptism. I relate several cases of Baptism experience in the UK and the Philippines and conclude by pointing out the doctrinal significance showing that baptism it’s self has no saving effect as it is only an outward act of a believer seeking to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Baptism does not regenerate a person, it's not an act whereby one is joined a Church, whether it be a local or the universal Church, nor And as William Huntington once said you can drag a man under the sea from Dover to Calais it will no make a man dead in trespasses and sins into a spiritual man.
