Enjoy this laugh-out-loud, steamy romance series from multi-award-winning romantic comedy author Evie Alexander…

Libby Fletcher's life is a dumpster fire.

No boyfriend, no roof over her head, and her acting career in tatters – Libby's life is falling apart at the seams. So when grumpy Lord Henry Foxbrooke offers her the role of 'fake girlfriend' for his thirtieth birthday celebrations, she jumps at the chance.

One weekend in the country, pretending to adore a ridiculously handsome, uptight heir? Easy, right?

Wrong. Foxbrooke Manor is a real-life Downton Abbey on steroids, Henry's matchmaking family is way too involved, and there's only one bed… As their chemistry skyrockets and the situation goes wildly off-script, Libby's struggling to separate what's fake from what's… not.

Love ad Lib is a multi-award-winning, laugh-out-loud, spicy romantic comedy packed with fake-dating chaos, swoony one-bed tension, and sparkling banter – perfect for fans of Pippa Grant, Lauren Blakely, Rosa Lucas, Annika Martin, Kayley Loring, and Lucy Score! No cliffhanger, no cheating just pure romcom gold with the grandest of gestures and the happiest of endings!

I enjoyed the Highland Games series, but Evie Alexander amped up the fun and spice for her first book in a new series. Love ad Lib had the best of the grumpy sunshine trope, and Libby managed to be bubbly and joyful without being too much (a common problem for me in this trope). Henry’s desperation to avoid being embarrassed by his eccentric family means he struggles to connect with others, but Libby immediately sees his sweet side and his ability to care. Henry’s family was a joy; I’m looking forward to their stories later in the series. My only dislike was Henry’s meddling in Libby’s financial affairs, as it complicated the story and didn’t give her a chance to stand on her own feet and solve her problems. This was a joyful, steamy romp and I’m looking forward to the next one!

FIREEEEE! The crazy Foxbrookes, what can I said about "love and Lib" this book was something completely else. This story was so refreshing compare to what I usually read. I love how Evie slowly builds up the chemistry between Henry and Lib to a powerful climax. It does tales a while to get there but once it hits, you realized the build up was worth it!! Evie's writing style gets better and better, I got a glimpse of it when I read "One night in Foxbrooke" and I like it. But now that I read a full story of her's keep's me wanting more. One of the thugs I loved about LIB, is that even thought she has insecurities she always has a smile on her face, she always tries to see the brighter side of things. Our handsome HENRY, I love how all his seriousness matches well with Lib's personality. Evie did a great job on explaining why Henry's personality is the way it is. How he is nothing like his parents or siblings. This is a truly must read series!!

Such a fun laugh out loud adventure! I love a shy heartthrob and Henry fits the bill. His awe of bubbly Libby is the sweetest. She is quirky and weird and has a personality that instantly makes you feel happier. Henry's family is wild and weird too! Evie's quick dialogue had me laughing out loud. If you are a fan of Pride and Prejudice and the movie Austenland, you have to read this book! It is the quintessential romantic comedy and I cannot wait to see what shenanigans the rest of the Foxbrooke crew get up to!

First off, heck of a way to start the book. It pulled me in immediately! The writing throughout was so descriptive I could very well picture what was happening. I was transported to London and Somerset with Libby and Henry. I saw what they saw, felt what they felt, and rooted for them from start to finish. There were lots of laughs, and most of them were honest to goodness laugh out loud get looks from people laughs. I read this book each moment I had free and during downtime at work. It was finished within 3 days. I absolutely cannot wait to read more from Evie and to seeing more of Libby and Henry and Foxbrooke. If you enjoy your books with romcom, steamy, opppsites attract you will love this book like I did. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was an adorable romcom full of eccentric characters, wit and improv. I loved not just the main characters, but all of the side characters are well. As this is the first in the series, I can’t wait for the rest of the characters to get there HEA. Plus, there a meddling grandma, and you know how much I love those. This is a fake dating trope, with the plot edging towards miscommunication, but I still liked it a lot. I kind of want an illustrated version of some of these scenes, where a Henry was acting out Libby’s fantasies because *swoon*. I can’t wait for the next one! Henry is straight laced and does everything by the book. His family is eccentric and he leaves them to do their own thing back at the manor while he is in London. He promises to bring his girlfriend that he told his family that he has to the next family function, forgetting that it is in days. He asks Libby, the woman who helped run an improv workshop at his work, to take it on as an acting job. But the contract they drew up didn’t account for the sparks that start flying between them.

This is Book 1 in the author’s new Foxbrooke Series. If it’s a rom com written by Evie Alexander, you can expect to laugh. You can also expect spice. Evie does not disappoint with this new book. There is plenty of spice and LOL moments while you read. This book has fake dating, small town, opposites attract, and one bed. Liberty Fletcher is an aspiring actress. She is a commoner. She is struggling to make ends meet. Lord Henry Arthur Fitzwilliam Foxbrooke is heir to his father’s title and estate. His family is extremely unconventional. He lives in London and works for a brokerage company. He has tried to keep his distance from his family. Henry needs a girlfriend to accompany him to his family’s manor for his 30th birthday. He has “contracted” Libby to pose as his girlfriend. This will definitely put Libby’s acting skills to the test. “I feel normal when I’m with you.”

Fake dating and Jane Austen inspired countryside? Sold, sold, sold! I read One Night in Foxbrooke earlier this year and was so excited for Love Ad Lib and it did not disappoint! Evie wrote Henry and Libby in such a way where you can't help but love them to pieces. I laughed, I cried, I cried from laughing...it is exactly what I was looking for out of a grumpy/sunshine fake dating romance. Spicy enough for those who need it (wow Henry, wow). An incredible cast of supporting side characters (I need a book about all of them, perhaps a prequel too?). Thank you to BookSirens for this advanced copy, I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved this!! Both Libby and Henry had characters in their lives that made me want to throw down. The Pride and Prejudice references were excellent and Estelle made me LOL. Her antics with if all were amazing! The main characters though show how important communication is to a relationship. Ends with a HEA, of course and an epilogue.

I always love reading Evie Alexander’s books as the MC’s aren’t your topical main characters. They have faults, they can be awkward, socially shy and not the typical Alpha’s and perfect females. Henry is quiet, reserved and slightly awkward in his primness, all because he’s trying to distance himself from his family’s not so normal parents who throw sex parties. Yes… you heard me… and it adds such an eccentric element to this. But henry needs a girlfriend for his birthday celebration to get his family off his back. Enter Libby. She’s in a financial bind and takes up Henry’s paid offer to play his girlfriend. This romantic comedy is full of fun and family antics that throw these two strangers into close quarters. With deliberate resemblances to Pride and Prejudice, Evie weaves elements of the Jane Austen classic novel into this charming story. And without giving anything away, she does it beautifully with the key parts we all swooned over in Colin Firth’s version of Mr. Darcy 😍. Henry makes the perfect modern Mr. Darcy to Libby’s extroverted Elizbeth Bennet. Watching them fall in love, especially with Henry’s reserved nature, really created great tension. I do wish that we saw the attraction begin earlier. I felt the story lagged a bit in the first half because I didn’t see them have some kind of l connection between them written in the story. Yet once it started up it was really engaging. The author certainly weaves a variety of family members and other characters who you can tell will be getting their stories in coming books.

4.5/5 stars I am so honored and excited that I got to read this book as an arc. It was so so good and the perfect amount of fluff, angst, and of course spice. The story line was so fun, and I love some good ol fake dating. Henry and Libby were so cute together and I loved following them throughout the book. Henry’s family was so fun and I loved the way they treated Libby. The smut scenes… omg… they were impeccable, and I absolutely loved them.
