I love all the characters in this book. Mary Balogh describes Lady Jennifer and Ben so well, they come alive to me. Ben cannot forget that he is a bastard even tough his father was an Earl. He stays in the background. Lady Jennifer is the sister of a Duke with a crippled leg due to an illness when she was a child. These two fall in love although both have doubts about their worthiness. Their immediate families love them and hope for the best for them although they express their doubts about the future for them. I loved this book! All the characters seemed so real. The way she shares their thoughts and feelings have you hoping they get their happily ever after.

Ben and Jenny‘s story is what dreams are made of.

Loved, loved this book! Mary Balogh is an outstanding author. I am trying to read everything she has written…having reread many of her books.

Lovely story. One of the best in this series.
