An unexpected pair of tickets and backstage passes land me in the front row, watching the sexiest guy named Lyxx, play like he was born with a guitar in his hand. With my Hollywood starlet reputation, this is not what I expected, as a quick visit to his room turns into nothing more than a diversion. After leaving him with a secret message, he still does not respond, and despite my best friend’s warning, I don’t relent. But I soon learn the reason. And it’s nothing that late night promises, a ring on my finger, or a place in his heart can fix.

It’s too late. By the time her ill-equipped bodyguards, faithless so-called best friend, and her uncaring, big-mouthed agent feed her to the lions, she’s already alone, in a room, with a man that looks at her like she’s his next meal. Sure, he’s my bandmate, but Julia is a classy, Hollywood actress, with more morals and reputation than my whole band could muster in a lifetime. And we’re…not. Yet she watches me as I ride the waves of stardom with her, only she seems to flourish, while I fall flat on my face. The proof is all over the papers that I don’t deserve her. And then an unfortunate photo, followed by a subsequent video, capturing all the reasons, is seen by millions.

Ironically, the show goes on, but with one less participant. I’m just not sure if the rest can wait, or if it really is too late. How many can make it to rock bottom, and live to tell the tale? I’ll wait…
