Description

Instant #1 New York Times bestseller and a Good Morning America Book Club Pick! This witty, slow-burn rom-com is the perfect beach read.

Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea ... and it just might work.

Emma hadn't planned that her next assignment as a traveling nurse would be in Minnesota, but she and her best friend agree that dating Justin is too good of an opportunity to pass up, especially when they get to rent an adorable cottage on a private island on Lake Minnetonka.

It's supposed to be a quick fling, just for the summer. But when Emma's toxic mother shows up and Justin has to assume guardianship of his three siblings, they're suddenly navigating a lot more than they expected—including catching real feelings for each other. What if this time Fate has actually brought the perfect pair together?

Named by Harper's Bazaar as one of the Top 10 Best Summer Romance Books of All Time!

i the book was cute but i feel like it was cheesy at times and a bit unrealistic. Overall I give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Felt a little too much like the others in this series. I know that the characters being to same make the story familiar, but I felt like this was the same as the last in the series, just with different names.

This book had me hooked from the first page. I could not put it down. I think I read 60% of it in one sitting. It was beautifully written, had me crying and laughing and just falling in love with these characters. This book is truly perfect.

I laughed. I cried. I cringed at all the right places. And, I swooned too. The book was so well written and moved through the story smoothly and effortlessly. I wish u could read it again for the first time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book. It gave me moments of pause and reflection, choosing empathy over anger.

I really loved this book. I went into it thinking this is going to be a little sweet romcom beach read. I want to report that it was so much more. It had so many twists and turns, unpredictable and honest.. I even learned a few things along the way. Well written and thought provoking. My only criticism is that it was a little wordy in places.
  • Not her best work

I couldn’t finish. I read the sample and it didn’t draw me in but after so many good reviews, I figured I’d give it a shot. Nope. Drags so much it makes my head hurt. I have loved the dialogue in Jimenez’s other books so I had high expectations but these exchanges felt dry and unnatural, robotic almost. Such a bummer!

It’s a book that you will be telling all your friends about. Abby has the ability to pull you in love the characters and then as quick as she’s got you settled, she flips it up in the air and you realize that you’re taking on a roller coaster ride it is beyond a modern Romance. She is a real class.
