This witty, slow-burn rom-com is the "ideal beach read." --Elle
Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other’s out, and they’ll both go on to find the love of their lives. It’s a bonkers idea… and it just might work.
Emma hadn't planned that her next assignment as a traveling nurse would be in Minnesota, but she and her best friend agree that dating Justin is too good of an opportunity to pass up, especially when they get to rent an adorable cottage on a private island on Lake Minnetonka.
It's supposed to be a quick fling, just for the summer. But when Emma's toxic mother shows up and Justin has to assume guardianship of his three siblings, they're suddenly navigating a lot more than they expected--including catching real feelings for each other. What if this time Fate has actually brought the perfect pair together?

5By skm4jcI am… beyond words. How, HOW does Abby manage to write one compelling, immersive, empathetic, gut-punching story after another? Her thoroughness and consistency manages to astound me anew every time. I can’t even explain why this still gives me a mind-blown reaction, except to say that her books are THAT GOOD. You get to know these characters. You see not only into their minds, but their hearts. You get to meet the people and things they surround themselves with. You learn, along with them, why they are the way they are. This book is no different. The amount of thought and research Abby puts into her stories shines through in the specific details she provides. It glows in the careful, tender way she addresses major issues, including genetically-inherited diseases, organ donation, anxiety, and now emotional trauma. Honestly, this kind of scares me for her next book, because she’s already hinted at part of the plot. It WILL hit very close to home for me, and I’m not sure I’m ready for that. Abby, if I could give this book twenty stars, I would.Good book
3By kasd.2Overall, the book is pretty good. however, I wish the author described Emma’s life a little more towards the end on how she is now. The middle of the book felt like it was never ending, but I’m glad I continued . It was really expectingly unexpected. I knock off two stars only because personally I wanted more of the love story after she figured herself out and because the middle dying for me.Excellent
