5By beastprogamingThis is incredibly inspirational! What a disciplined and focused man was he. In this day and age, when stress is near its utmost, attacks on individuals psychological systems, and manipulation is at its highest, this book gives wisdom on how to live a life of success and freedom, wise walking and powerful words.Insightful Book
5By De HeisenbergReally an eye opening book and a great source of text to guide you in life.Great advice and terrific outlook.
4By DaddysDingalingThis book offered great life advice that goes hand in hand with words of the Bible. However, the further you read the more he tends to repeat himself and talk about the same topics over and over again. Overall, an 8/10 and a great read!Tell me straight
5By jhblacklockThis translation of Meditations is clear and direct. It focuses on action and practical takeaways. I prefer it to more scholarly versions. “Scholarly” is not a criticism. It describes translations weighed down by abstraction and footnotes that explain what the text just said. This version avoids that. It strips the fluff while preserving meaning.Read Now.
5By BigWynneCivilization needs this.Useless political drivel
1By karenindixieSorry but that’s all this is - the useless drivel from a once-great politician. I sure it meant more during his time, but it suffers greatly when applied to today’s morally reprehensible world. Not to mention it’s another male-translation of extremely old text (and I’m thinking a bad translation). You may ask why I read it at all? Simple curiosity which sounds counter-intuitive to Stoicism in the first place.
