Two women. One dead husband. And only one alibi.
“Elston expertly unravels a web of secrets and lies. You won’t be able to put this excellent thriller down until the final shocking page.” —Megan Miranda
Everyone at Chantilly’s Bar noticed out-of-towner Camille Bayliss. Red lips, designer heels, sipping a Negroni. But that woman wasn’t Camille Bayliss. It was Aubrey Price.
Camille Bayliss appears to have the picture-perfect life; she’s married to hotshot lawyer Ben and is the daughter of a wealthy Louisiana family. Only nothing is as it seems: Camille believes Ben has been hiding dirty secrets for years, but she can’t find proof because he tracks her every move.
Aubrey Price has been haunted by the terrible night that changed her life a decade ago, and she’s convinced Benjamin Bayliss knows something about it. Living in a house full of criminals, Aubrey understands there’s more than one way to get to the truth—and she may have found the best way in.
Aubrey and Camille hatch a plan. It sounds simple: For twelve hours, Aubrey will take Camille’s place. Camille will spy on Ben, and the two women will get the answers they desperately seek.
Except the next morning, Ben is found murdered. Both women need an airtight alibi, but only one of them has it. And one false step is all it takes for everything to come undone.

Anatomy of an Alibi
2By julspcThe book started in a truly hooking way. But unfortunately it fell flat.Great Book!
5By ButterSnail528This is the second book I have read from her and they keep you on your toes. So many twists and turns! I love the way she writes about each character and brings them to life. Page turner for sure! I love a book that wants to keep you reading to see what happens next. Her books are exactly like this!A Must Read
5By GlamNurse24Kept me guessing all the way until the end!Did AI write this?
1By WhitmbenI loved first lie wins and found it clever and unexpected. This book feels completely different. There were so many characters and so little character development. The writing felt off and juvenile. I wasn’t invested or interested or surprised by the end.So good
5By jessmeswSo gripping and also surprising. Loved it!Definitely kept me turning the page.
5By Jewel....I love a good who dunnit, but I typically can figure it out. Didn’t have a clue on this one. Extremely well thought out. So many twists. Really liked the characters. Great read.Just OK
3By ABQBlytheIt wasn’t a page turner that’s for sure, and it broke the show don’t tell rule several times.Don’t waste $$ or time
2By Lynnnnnn22One of the worst novels I’ve read - not one sympathetic characterGood story, not good format
3By G'Dad12Very good story and would have been much better without the bouncing around with time frames and characters. This book needs to be read cover to cover at one time so you can keep everything straight, which I rarely do.Excellent read!
5By Dfox1999Great story line. Perfectly written with strong character development. This one doesn’t disappoint.Twisty!
5By VoraciousnessThis author never disappoints! If you’re in the mood to stay up all night reading because you can’t put a book down - this one’s for you! Beyond excellent!Disappointing
2By lthoma2The artifice of how this book was structured prevented me from getting into it. The contrived bouncing back & forth in time plus the isolation of characters who all had a different story did not make the ending a surprise.LOVED IT!!
5By katieeeeeeebabieeeeee32Read it in two days! Couldn’t put it down!! Amazing read!!Anatomy of an Alibi
5By dyssasSeriously, could NOT put this book down! Twists and turns and ups and downs! Not bad
4By Amigo73This was an easy novel to read once I got used to the convoluted time frame that started each chapter. I’m used to different character’s perspectives, but adding in the varying sequence of events was confusing at first. I wish the author had made that smoother for the reader. Other than that, the story was engaging, the characters interesting, and a great reminder of Louisiana politics and how corrupt its history is. It was a sadly believable tale.
