Description
The story takes place in an imaginary island – POLITICIA – characterized by a morally declining life of its people, especially their lewd attitude towards women, and addiction to drugs. Though the island had a glorious past, its present is bleak. The police, the politicians, the divines, and even the intellectuals are all sunk in the deplorable depth of moral depravity and sexual lust.
In such a perverted country, there lives a youth named CRUSADO who is willing to regain Politicia's lost glory.
One night when the entire island is fast asleep, an 'alien aircraft' lands on Mount Dondalla, and RADO, the god of wrath, drops a horrible DRAGON to carry on his mission.
The Dragon appears before Crusado and tells him that he is a Messenger from the "SUPER MIND" to change the fate of Politicia, and that Crusado is chosen as his instrument in this mission.
A parallel story springs from Paris (France). VANYA LEYLAND, a beautiful widow travels to the island with a great picture in her mind, but all her images shatter when she lands in Politicia, with her daughter BEATRICE. They are subjected to an attempt to rape by two taxi drivers. PESTER MONTO, the deputy Minister of Politicia, rescues them, but later the two females fall victims of the minister himself, his son and police officers.
The Dragon reappears before Crusado and changes himself into a human form, assuming the name of CRATER. He and Crusado come to the Dak Bungalow where Vanya and Beatrice are staying. They install a micro-camera in Vanya's room and capture everything that happens in that room. The micro-camera records how the Police Officer, Pester Monto's son DIDO, and later Pester Monto himself try to rape Vanya and Beatrice. The Dragon uses these visuals to reveal to the public the dark side of Pester Monto.
Crusado nominates his candidature for the Presidential election which irritates Pester. He is also afraid that Crater and Crusado could expose him by making his photos public. Beset by troubles, he remembers his godfather, DHONGAR BASHA, who advises Pester to "divert people's attention" from the rape case of the French ladies by raising "bigger issues".
The minister causes serious conflicts and divides in Politicia which lead to violent strife between the North and the South factions and provoke hatred for "foreigners" and their religions.
The turning point is on the election day when people throng to the polling booth. The officers and the police on-duty behave as Pester's 'underdogs'. The armed goons openly threat people to vote in favour of Pester. A young girl protests to this and a goon tears her dress with his knife, shaming her in public. When she still protests, he thrusts the dagger into her back. As the girl lies in the pool of blood, she suddenly metamorphoses into a fiery dragon and emits a trail of fire from her mouth, scorching the goon. She dies but her death causes great stir among the voters … And suddenly they all turn into dragons and chase Pester and his corrupt accomplices and engulf many of them. Pester hides in a ruined house where he beats his head against the wall. He becomes mad.
Crusado wins and becomes Politicia's new President. Amidst cheers of hundreds of people, he describes the moment as "true freedom of Politicia" and swears to change its destiny. He points to Crater as the harbinger of this change and asks him to unfurl the new flag of Politicia.
Crater is overwhelmed with emotion as he feels the deep love of Crusado and all the people. He cries bitterly but says that it's time he must go back as his mission is complete. He runs fast towards the seaside. All run with him and plead him not to go.
Rado's aircraft hovers over the sea. Crater must go now, but he promises that he will come back. He turns into a Dragon, flaps his wings and flies over the tiding sea.
