Everyone loves a winner. For 21 days in July, cycling fans are treated to images of the finish line being crossed first. Some photos show arms raised in celebration, others illustrate the victor falling off the bike with fatigue, yet they always rally for the obligatory podium shot.
The moments captured by those photos are great, but there’s much more to a grand tour. By earning the trust of the teams and working with the best photographers in the business, we are fortunate enough to go beyond the finish line frenzy and glimpse into the lives of the riders, the people that support them, and the fans who cheer them on.
