5By SpecCollLibI consider myself a bit of an historical romance "connoisseur". THIS is most definitely NOT "just the same ole story". The storyline of this novel is so outrageous as to be completely believable. (There's a reason the phrase "truth is often stranger than fiction" even exists!) In fact, I could totally see this plot as a rom-com movie set in today's world. This is an excellent book. Read it! You'll thank me.What Happens At Christmas
4By ClauthorVictoria Alexander has done it again by creating a story of whimsy about the lives of the Victorian English nobility in an age of innocence. Her characters are likable and creative often discovering themselves in untenable positions. Her protagonist delightfully manages the impossible to arrive at her long desired future several years late. The tale is delightful living up to its genre of a romance novel.
