A Hero for Claire

When Claire Parker, one of the Parker triplets, loses her glamour job at a San Francisco TV station she thinks nothing worse could happen. But it does. Her fiancé drops her for a gorgeous model.

While she recovers from heart-break and unemployment, she moves in with her sister Justine and takes a job walking dogs on the streets of San Francisco. There she runs into Joe, a tough Navy Seal who’s recovering from a helicopter crash in another country.

Joe knows better than to fall for a good-looking woman. He’s done it before and it didn’t work out. But what’s a Seal supposed to do if he’s on leave and can’t track down terrorists or blow up bad guys. When he meets Claire, he finds there’s plenty to do on crisp fall days in everybody’s favorite city by the Bay. Like wine-tasting, ballooning, hiking and falling in love. But Seals know ”The only easy day was yesterday.”

When Joe finally gets the call, he flies off to his next assignment. Fall turns to winter and the fog rolls in over the steep hills. Claire is trying to forget Joe who chose the Seals over her. It’s almost Christmas. He said holidays were for other people. But Joe realizes he’s one of the other people. When he walks in her door again he knows he’s there for good. Claire has her hero at last.
