This is a comprehensive guide into Mail Merge. We have used two clear examples to illustrate how the process works. The first is a simple type Mail Merge where we are sending the same exact letter / notice called the Main Document, to all our customers in our list, called the Data Source. This type of merge is relatively easy to do.
Our second example is a far more sophisticated type merge in which we filter from our Data Source only the customers we need, be it only the “Males” or “Females”, or only those in specific named regions, or any combination such as “Males”, between 25 and 35 years of age, “Married” and are “Roman Catholics”, or something similar.
