Description

All winter long, people in the Green Hollows have prepared for a final battle with Gnag the Nameless and the Fangs of Dang. Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli—Throne Warden, Wolf King, and Song Maiden of Anniera—are ready and willing to fight alongside the Hollowsfolk, but when the Fangs make the first move and invade Ban Rona, the children are separated. Janner is alone and lost in the hills; Leeli is fighting the Fangs from the rooftops of the city; and Kalmar, who carries a terrible secret, is on a course for the Deeps of Throg. Meanwhile in Skree, Sara Cobbler and Maraly Weaver care for the broken Artham Wingfeather as Fangs muster for battle across the MightyRiver Blapp.

Sea dragons lurk in the waters. Wicked Stranders crawl through the burrows. Ridgerunners and trolls prowl the land. Cloven haunt the forest. Monsters and Fangs and villains lie between the children and their only hope of victory—in the epic conclusion of The Wingfeather Saga.

This book series is officially my favorite of all time. Andrew Peterson has a great mix of humor and sacrifice, evil versus good, love versus hate. This series will force you to look on the inside, where the real war happens.
  • The perfect tale

I read this book many years ago, and was astounded at its beauty and power over words, emotions, and heroics. I had now reread the Wingfeather saga, and it’s like I am revisiting old friends. The power of words in these books in enlightening and invigorating. I loved every second, every page, and every single plot line. The characters shall always be remembered years after I’ve read it. I love Artham and the way he picks himself up even after he tears himself up over leaving Esben. I love Kalmar, who in the midst of anger and distrust seems to always rise above that and prove himself. I love Janner, who finally learned to see his sins, and to overcome them, and who fought for his siblings like a true hero. I love Leeli, with her graceful gestures and a heart that could encircle the world. I love every single character in their own little ways and quirks. Andrew Peterson did one of the best jobs writing this book that I have ever seen. I loved the way he described the Maker, for I am also a Christian, and know how hard it is to write Christian Fiction. Thank you for this amazing tale that shall always rest in every readers heart with its astounding details of war, betrayal, shame, love, and sacrifice.

I don't write book reviews and I don't read books ... but saw this series had an animation kickstarter and thought I would check it out. Hooked by thwaps and fangs of dang. I'm not always in tune with the authors humor but this was a great book all the same. Nice ending.
  • Better than the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe!

I liked book one and two and LOVED book three and four! So hopeful, so beautiful, so redemptive! The world needs more stories like this to remind us to fight the fight and live humble grateful sacrificial lives!
