This is a fascinating book about an amazing family and the importance of a strong father figure in young boys lives and the trials of growing up and discovering how to be a man in the world of sports. Baseball is the tool in which the elder Bengie teaches his sons and his community about the importance of being a good man, a good person, and especially a good father with many life lessons song the way.

As a huge baseball fan. (Yadi Molina is my favorite ball player.) I live in St.Louis. The book was terrific! I cried all the way through it. Mr. Molina was a great man and he raised three wonderful sons and grate ball players. He taught them more than how to play baseball. He taught them how to be men! I give the book five stars.
