River's Remorse (Sanctuary Series Book 2)

I am a huge fan of Charlotte Abel's writing. I read book 1 a while back, it was free. I can't believe I waited this long to read book 2. Now I need 3 and 4. Charlotte builds an intricate story world for us to live in while reading. It's really neat how "New Eden" is its own place yet also located in Colorado. I was engrossed in the book as soon as I picked it up. It's a take on shifters I love to read about. I love the detail put into it along with well developed characters. This is a must read for those who love shifters, but want something a bit different than the usual novella about werewolves. This is much more complex .

This book was unlike anything I have read thus far. It mixes primal instincts and intellect in a way that shows how beautiful the two can be together. The characters are real enough that their actions and morals are ambiguous, but relatable. Overall it is a great book, there was romance, heart, tragedy, and impossible odds to overcome that kept me yearning to turn the page. I highly recommend it!
