When fifteen-year-old Jacob Lau is pulled from the crumpled remains of his mother's car, no one can explain why he was driving or why the police can't find his mother's body. Made a ward of his uncle and thousands of miles from home, Jacob meets a beautiful and mysterious neighbor, Dr. Abigail Silva, who offers to use her unique abilities to help him find his mom. In exchange, she requires Jacob to train as a Soulkeeper, a gifted warrior charged with protecting human souls.
He agrees to her demands, desperate for any clue to the mystery of his mother's disappearance. But soon Jacob finds himself trapped in a web of half-truths and questions Dr. Silva's motives for helping him.

Read the bestselling novel that readers call an utterly spellbinding, elaborate and spectacularly written adventure!
5 stars. An utterly spellbinding, elaborate and spectacularly written adventure. From its very first words - "Death lived up to Jacob's expectations" - the story will pull readers in and take them on an adventure as Jacob discovers abilities he never knew he had and tries to uncover the truth about his mother's whereabouts. -- Fiktshun Reviews
An astounding book. The concept of the storyline was genius. Every line, every word felt well-thought out and meaningful. The Soulkeepers never felt like an outright horror book to me, no slashing or blood-letting, but I was completely creeped out (in a good way). -- Andrea Thompson
Fantastic read, no matter how old you are. Does it matter that I bought The Soulkeepers for my children and I wound up loving it myself? No. No matter how old you are, you will love this book. -- Cathy Webster
One of those rare stories that seizes your attention from the start and never lets it go. I would highly recommend The Soulkeepers. It has everything a reader could ever want. -- Sarah of ThatBookishgirl.com

5By PammypkExcellent , had to read the next book in the seriesVery Christian oriented
3By ama_1The book was good and the writing style was easy to follow. The only problem was that the story is very heavily christian influenced. So if youre not christian, its a little pushy. I like the spiritual focus of the story but it swayed too much in one direction and I think it couldve been more neutral for people of different faiths.Enjoyable Read
4By Drkwlf1969I downloaded this title and forgot about it for a while. I picked up my phone and decided to start reading. I got to this book and I didn't really know what to expect. But I enjoyed how the author used what we know about things and kind of put a twist from all our imaginations of what we are told things are. Her use of Biblical descriptions of angels and "fallen angels" (demons) and making them the foundation of the fight in the story, was well done. I like how she took original sin and changed it just a hair to explain how our heroes developed and came together in the story. It's a good read and well worth a look at.Soulkeepers

5By djcortez19I read this book in a day. It took me a few weeks to read the tire series. Once you start you can't stop. This is just the beginning and it gets better with each book!TheSoulkeepers
5By CjCentThis book was just amazing!!!Contradicting
3By NataleviIt's good so far... But it says he dies and sees nothing but black, but a few pages later he describes the light tunnel he saw. Also, it had said that it was sunny the day he died, but a few pages later he describes the ominous clouds. Hmm.. Still going to give it a chance. But I enjoy detail.Soul Keeper Series
