Ngathu Bimbi Bulba - My Safe Place

This book showcases the work of the children and young people from three Local State Government Primary Schools situated in the Rockhampton Local Government Area. Ngathu Bimbi Bulba’screation was only possible through the commitment of the dedicated professionals and collaborative partnerships formed between the author, illustrator, teachers and other school staff, parents and FPQ educators. The enthusiastic efforts of the children, all of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, were truly inspiring throughout the compilation process. Ngathu Bimbi Bulbais a celebration of cultural identity. The stories and art in the book also express the children’s messages about being safe or knowing where to find safety. It is designed to be shared amongst families to celebrate and promote wellness and well–being and is a reminder of every child’s right to be proud, be safe and be deadly.
