Ended quietly
4By The PhamilyBook review: In The Quiet by Eliza Henry Jones Ended quietly.. It's like reading glimpses of someone's vision. It gets confusing and sometimes I have to read what I read twice or thrice to make sure I understand what I read. It's my first book on loss, grief tied in with family, marriage and children/tweens and young adult. As the story progressed I got to know how a person can be gripped so hard by loss that there's no lifeline to rescue them. They just had to find it in themselves and sometimes through others. I wasn't bored per say but I wasn't enthusiastic about the story. It's sad. But I couldn't stop reading. I just had to know what happened to who. Cate had a full life up until her illness caught up to her. She had a husband who was the ideal father compared to her own and knew how great he was. Even in the afterlife she still felt what she felt for him when she was alive. Her twins, complete opposites almost. But Cate raised them all well, making sure they can care for themselves and others and were responsible on the farm. Jessa was that wild card, the young baby every parent n others would see to be spoiled rotten. She was strong, her character was strong and for her age, was written in well. There's many characters in this story and each had their own story while Cate visited each in her memory. It's a good thing she wasn't lingering too long and finally rested in peace.
