3By amiwinnnWhat I enjoyed most was the beginning of Hannah and Garrett’s story and watching them gradually fall for each other. Their relationship developed naturally, and I’m glad the plot didn’t spend much more time on Justin. The ending of the book felt a bit flat to me. Some of the banter was great, and certain parts of the story clearly reflect the time in which it was written. I read the book after watching the show, and I honestly think many of the changes made for the adaptation were necessary. The book served a great snapshot of romance storytelling in the 2000s - 2010s. Thank goodness time has changed romantic storytelling. ❤️The Deal

The chemistry between the characters, the humor, the emotion, and the storyline kept me turning pages late into the night. I finished the entire book in just three days, which is something I never do! If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, swoon, and stay up way past your bedtime, this is it. But I loved the show so much that when it ended, I felt like I needed more. I picked up this book expecting to fill the Off Campus-shaped void in my life and somehow emerged less than three days later dehydrated, sleep-deprived, and emotionally attached to a fictional man named Garrett Graham. Needless to say, this book was everything and more than I expected. I read it in under three days and could not put it down. I’m especially excited to read the next book in the series since I know absolutely nothing about what happens next—and unlike the show, I can’t accidentally spoil it for myself. This book made me blush, smile, get butterflies, laugh, and get emotional. There were also several moments where I found myself scanning the room to make sure no one was standing behind me reading over my shoulder. If you’ve read it, you know exactly why. Beautifully written, completely addictive, and amazingly portrayed in the Off Campus show. Thank you for giving me my first book hangover in over a decade…Love the show and now in love with the book!
