Many of us are stunned by the increasingly outrageous behavior of some people and the indifference those folks have about the effect their actions have upon the rest of us. Others of us are discouraged by our own stuckness regarding some issue. And then there are those caring individuals who try to help others only to watch them struggle and fail over and over. This book was written from a Christian perspective to give hope to people discouraged by a lack of progress regarding an issue of growth or healing in their own life. It was written to encourage patience for people who are frustrated with the attitudes and behaviors of the people around them. This book was written to inform and educate churches and individuals who intend to help folks who are struggling. It is hoped that in all cases we might avoid two extremes. First is to avoid oversimplifying the matter of healing and growth in a way that induces shame for the person who is still stuck after doing that "one thing" you simply must do. The second is to avoid overcomplicating the matter to the point of overwhelming people by "all that absolutely must be" considered if one is to experience wholeness of spirit and soul.
