A Character Author Focusing on Characters
5By It'sLiteratureIf you’ve read the First Law trilogies, you know Abercrombie is at his best when he spins a story through multiple perspectives. Abercrombie takes to anthologies like a fish to water and he could not have done better. This book is incredibly satisfying to fans of the series as it wraps up storylines, introduces new characters, and provides brief glimpses into backstories that have yet to be explored. If you are a fan of the First Law trilogies, this is as vital a read as the Blade Itself and Best Served Cold.Excellent
5By ninjajimI normally don't care for short stories. I like to be in it for the long-haul. But anything by Joe Abercrombie, and I'm willing to read it. Once again Joe does not fail to satisfy! Gritty, bloody, darkly funny. Highly recommended.
