Description

New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the “wild and raw”* world of the Reapers MC with the story of Gage and Tinker…

The club comes first. I’ve lived by those words my whole life—assumed I’d die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She’s beautiful, she’s loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes...She deserves a good man—one better than me. I can’t take her yet because the club still needs me. There’s another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.

Now she’ll learn I’ve been lying to her all along. None of it’s real. Not my name, not my job, not even the clothes I wear. She thinks I’m nice. She pretends we’re just friends, that I’ve still got a soul...Mine’s been dead for years. Now I’m on fire for this woman, and a man can only burn for so long before he destroys everything around him.

I’m coming for you, Tinker. Soon.

As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by KittyKelly 3.5 out of 5 Licks I think by now everyone knows I’m a fan of Ms. Wylde I don’t read much in the way of MC books but I live for her release days. I’ve been looking forward to this book since before I even finished the last one. Lol Overall I did really enjoy this one, but I felt like it dragged a lot. I was more than halfway through before it really started to pick up for me. There was a lot of focus on the fires and once I finished the book and read the message that she added I understand this book had a lot of meaning for her so I get it. I think Gage is the softest, kindest Reaper we’ve gotten so far. It was amusing to see how he was fighting inner beast around Tinker. He was tough no doubt and he definitely did some bad guy stuff, but most of the time he walked a pretty clean path. Tinker has lived through a lot and she’s gotten pretty tough because of it. Her ex was definitely a grade A jacka$$ so I’m glad she left him. I did love that we get an epilogue and it jumps WAY forward! I will never turn away a Joanna Wylde book and as always I am anxiously awaiting to see what she brings next!

What I love about Joanna Wylde are her unique characters... She does not disappoint... Gage going undercover falling for his landlord instead of the target ... Will mess up his mission? Tinker is a strong, independent, sassy woman.. Love her.. When Gage is able and decide to claim her.. She doesn't go easily ...love her Love the book, love this series, must read!

I love a good MC book, this one was great. As for MC books go it was mild. Not heavy on the language or anything crazy. But as for a love story it was wonderful. There were a couple of minor parts I wish had closer (The bad guys) but it was so worth the read. I would holy recommend it. But have tissues close for those Happy Tears

This installment in the Reaper’s series deals with the club and their enemies, like the other books, but it also has a lot of natural disaster. Gage has left Coeur d'Alene to check on a support club because the Reapers have heard some bad things and need to be sure. While there he meats Tinker under the most unusual circumstances and falls for her, but he has a few big issues in the way of a relationship with her. I enjoyed sitting in during the Reapers meetings, witnessing the politics of the club and seeing how a patch over works. The inner workings of the MC are interesting to me. I also liked how the author worked in the fires. I’ve never dealt with wild fires so this story kind of brought home how serious they are. I think anyone who likes this series will like this book, but it does have a different feel from some of the others. I enjoyed that difference.

I never though I'd say this but move over Horse and Ruger, you have a new man thats about to steal your alpha loving ways! Cage is a club man, he does what he has to for his brothers, even if it means not going after the one woman he desperately wants. Tinker, she's strong. One of the most strongest heroines I've read in a book in a very long time. Her past is always there. It haunts her, but she deals with it. She is a survivor to the tenth degree. When Cage enters her life she's instantly drawn to him, but he comes with more baggage then a luggage rack. You could feel the chemistry in this book, it flows off of them. I was in tears at the epilogue. The most sweetest of moments and memories I will always remember about this book!
