5By redsunsetsailorThis series of crime novels just keeps getting better. The characters and settings make you wish you were there and friends with Lei and Mike and family. Very realistic and human. 4By dooneenI am not a strong swimmer and I know my limitations. As such, though I love the beach and being by the ocean on the Atlantic side of the world, I would love to go to Hawaii to taste the culture there. It took me awhile to appreciate this novel, but Toby Neal fills in enough background to bring it to life. As a former English teacher and British Literature Major, the devolvement of characters to pidgen is particularly fun. I have had students register "pidgin" as their first language on registration forms for school. Very good read!Makes me want to head to Hawaii
