The lesser-known novel by Charlotte Bronte, though I cannot imagine why. Though some activists have tried to claim this book as promoting their own social causes, that is just wishful & silly thinking. But I completely concur that is as good as «Jane Eyre. » Highly recommended for classic literature lovers and history buffs.
