Description
Gerald Wright works for billionaires. He never imagined he’d become one.
The former Navy Seal is a chauffeur by day, artist by night, so when hotter-than-ever ex-fiancée Suzanne Dayton interrupts his nude model sculpting class to serve him with inheritance paperwork from a man he’s never heard of, he assumes it’s a joke.
Turns out the joke’s on him. There’s just one catch. A big one.
And it might be Suzanne — in more ways than he ever dreamed.

4By Meht1991Exciting, expensive, seductive, high flying, and of course buffed up military type males. Makes you want to move to NYC. Of course, very easy reading. Read from start to end in one afternoon. LaMarI want more!!!
5By broken_heartGerald and Suzanne are such great characters!!! I loved the dynamic between the two of them. I also love how other characters from the Shopping series were woven into the storyline. You do not have to had read the other books to appreciate this one... However if you haven't done so, I highly recommend all of Julia Kent's books!!!!Sweet, Sexy, and Funny As Hell!
5By jbebout1295Another laugh out loud funny book from the outrageous mind of Julia Kent! I loved this book! It was nice to get into the minds of a few of the lesser known characters from the Shopping For A Billionaire series, while still seeing our favorites... and in some cases seeing A LOT of our favorites, as in every square inch of them. I have a sudden and urgent urge to sign up for a nude sculpting class. No one, and I mean no one does romantic comedy like Julia Kent! Her characters are so outrageous and hilarious, yet so honest and sincere and completely real. They just draw you right into the story, and you can't help but become invested in their lives. I was hooked from very early on in this book and remained riveted to the very last page. It was full of romance and mystery and passion and more than a little humor. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet, sexy, and funny as hell read.Laugh out Loud feel good romance
5By Cali JewelSo Good I devoured it in one day, dodging all household responsibilities much to my hubby's frustration... LOL Gerald Wright has been an interesting person in the background through out the series and I was so happy to get to know him better in this new story. Julia Kent does not disappoint in developing her people and the stories they have lived. Suzanne is the perfect puzzle part to complete Gerald. They are so explosive together it was so fun to watch them figure out the past and the present. Great appearances from lots of the beloved people of this series through out the book, loved every laugh out loud moment. Lots of fun to read.Didn't want this to end!
5By smbmarI am a huge fan of Julia's Shopping series. I've really enjoyed reading about Gerald over time. It was great to see him get his own story. I really hope to be seeing Gerald and Suzanne's story continue within the Shopping Series.Shopping for an heir: Inheritance by Julia Kent
5By North of DisneylandI just finished and it was terrific! Julia can make you laugh out loud and cry, also! All the books she has written have been very descriptive, humorous, and when I see her name you can bet that I'm going to get it! She lets you see Gerald's nude model, Declan and you don't have to have a good imagination to see all of his muscles and his 60/ 70/ 80 year old women in the class are very sassy about what they have to say about him. Suzanne ( Gerald's girlfriend) was in Afghanistan and now she is a partner in a law firm and you can still see her relying on the military tone of voice to get her wayHilarious Second Chance
5By Laura__FThis book can certainly be read as a standalone but you will truly be missing out on some hilarious reading if you skip the rest of the series. Gerald has always been in the background of this series, driving the men of Anterdec anywhere they need to go. Suddenly, he's informed that he could make millions of dollars off his inheritance from a man he's never met. As if that isn't shock enough, the papers are delivered by Gerald's former fiancee, who he left 10 years ago. Suzanne is determined to serve these papers and then have this case reassigned. She's never gotten over her anger and heartbreak that Gerald caused when he ended their relationship. I laughed so hard reading this book that I had trouble reading the words. There are so many cameos by characters that I have loved in this series and when the Shopping characters show up, hilarity ensues. While there was a ton a humor, there was also a bit of angst that made you pull for these characters. I'm looking forward to seeing these two in future books in the series!!! *I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.*Do Yourself a Favor and Read This Book
5By Melanie MilburnI received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was a tremendous read! It was nice to touch upon the Shopping universe and learn more about Gerald, the McCormick chauffeur/security. Gerald is an man of many talents and some secrets. His relationship with Suzanne is a second chance at love story that was compelling to read--I couldn't put it down. I also loved the appearances of the "usual suspects" from this universe--especially the more geriatric characters. Julia has done it again! All hail Ms. Kent!A story filled with comedy, love, priceless relics, forgiveness, out spoken seniors, and oregano.
5By CchimniGerald is a strong presence in the McCormick's lives. Now we have insight into his life. When Suzanne comes back into Gerald's life to deliver his inheritance papers his past comes back to him. He faces his greatest fears and she gets the answers she has been waiting 10 years for. A story filled with comedy, love, priceless relics, forgiveness, out spoken seniors, and oregano. A great addition to the Shopping series.Just Keeps Getting Better
5By becky0416There is a depth to this latest book, combining the Inheritance series and Shopping series, not readily seen in other books by Ms Kent...not only is a very real and devastating issue of PTSD addressed, but there is a deeper layer of intensity than previously written in the Shopping series. Yes the wackiness of Marie pops up...was anyone else cheering as I did when Gerald literally removed her from his class?...Ms Kent's trademark witty banter and dialog, along with the humorous under currents of the cast of characters from the Shopping series...Agnes!!...are all present, but Gerald and Suzanne's relationship had an intenseness to it than any of the other character couples. Perhaps it was their shared history in the military, but they definitely were completely unique to previous characters I've read from this author. Ms Kent has once again demonstrated her talent as a storyteller through her ability to draw the reader into the story from the beginning, not releasing that grasped until the very end. Overall the story is multileveled, the premise intriguing, and the characters entertaining...the emotional investment of previous characters is added to by Gerald and Suzanne, with newer, revisiting characters making a more prominent appearance, Vince needs his own story...would love to see James and Pam expanded upon. I'm looking forward to what's up next in the Shopping series. This book was provided by the author for my honest review.
