The recipes are really simple, taste good and fast to make. I was first hesitant to buy the book. but when i saw GP at rachael rays shows' make chicken taquitos, i said hey thats the kind of food i wanna make. I dont have kids. But I wanna make foods to go , to take to work and such. Im tired of eating sandwiches. I I took the risk and bought the book. I have almost all of the ingredients in my pantry, so i have already tried several recipes from the book. I agree with other reviews that some of the ingredients can only be bought from stores like wholefoods. But i think you can substitute another ingredient for it. Or order them from amazon or vitacost. The pictures are beautiful too. Oversll Im happy with the book.

I am not a good cook, never have been. This book caught my attention, not by the word easy or the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow was on the cover, it was the ingredients. I brought it home and I've cooked 5 recipes out of it already. My husband loves the recipes too. The Turkey Meatloaf is awesome!! Of course eating healthy and fresh requires more money. But most people that complain about Whole Foods and the prices, are the same people spending $5 on a Starbucks Coffee.

Do. Not. Purchase. That is all that needs to be said. I have seen dollars better used as origami.

Yes, it IS all easy! Nothing could be easier, or more delicious than seasoning chicken pieces on a sheet pan and heating them in the oven. Stuck in an breakfast rut? The almond butter avocado toast is amazing!!! Gwyneth has done it again, deliciously!!!
  • Why?

I don't get it. Gwenyth Paltrow is an actress, not a chef; why am I supposed to regard her all of a sudden as a culinary expert? Two stars for the recipes themselves, which I'm sure must be better than a one-star collection. But I stil don't see any reason why I should be getting a book of recipes from Gwenyth Paltrow, Stephen Hawking, or the guy who repairs my cable TV signal.

You have to have a part time chief and lots of expendable income to even come close to developing these exotic recipes from around the world! It ceases to amaze me how "these Hollywood kitchen wonders" leading their coddled like styles can live in the real world.

These recipes are not what I would call kid-friendly. Maybe Gwyneth's kids are super different from the rest of the world...very disappointed with the content and what she considers "easy" weeknight recipes. Be prepared for lots of trips to Whole Foods and lots of money spent. The ingredients are not even widely available in some areas. What about that is easy?
