Description

Gwyneth Paltrow, Academy-Award winning actress and bestselling cookbook author, returns with recipes for the foods she eats when she wants to lose weight, look good, and feel more energetic.

Last spring, after a particularly grueling schedule and lapse of overindulgence, Gwyneth Paltrow was feeling fatigued and faint. A visit to her doctor revealed that she was anemic, vitamin D deficient, and that her stress levels were sky high. He prescribed an elimination diet to clear out her system and help her body heal. But this meant no coffee, no alcohol, no dairy, no eggs, no sugar, no shellfish, no deep-water fish, no wheat, no meat, no soy, nothing processed at all!

An avid foodie, Paltrow was concerned that so many restrictions would make mealtime boring, so, together with Julia Turshen, she compiled a collection of 185 delicious, easy recipes that followed her doctor's guidelines. And it worked! After changing her diet, Paltrow healed totally, felt more energetic and looked great. Now, in It's All Good, she shares the go-to dishes that have become the baseline for the restorative diet she turns to whenever she feels she needs it. Recipes include: Huevos Rancheros, Hummus Tartine with Scallion-Mint Pesto, Salmon Burgers with Pickled Ginger, even Power Brownies, Banana "Ice Cream," and more!

The book format is not good; it's a PDF file, not e-book. I've not expected this from the author; very disappointing. I really would like to return and buy the hard cover book.

My husband and I have enjoyed the recipes that I have cooked thus far. The recipes are tastier and faster than expected. My only issue is that notes cannot be written in this cookbook, I have several cookbooks on my iPad that allow me to make notes. If this can be changed then please make the change.

Don't waste your money. Unless you want to read about how incorrectly you're living your life by someone who doesn't have a clue.
  • AWFUL

This would work well, if one has a nanny, a cook, and a personal assistant to help you find all the items as well as dedicate an entire day to cooking. Unrealistic, in today's society. Stick to acting, you are better at that.

I have seen tremendous health benefits following a similar elimination diet to find out the cause of some serious digestive issues. I have such a hard time finding healthy creative recipes that work for my family and don't include the food types on my personal intolerance list. There are some really great ideas in this cookbook and all of the recipes I have made thus far have been fantastic. A huge thanks to Paltrow and Turshen to filling a large void in the "cookbook industry!" Don't misunderstand the very pure intention of these authors like the press has.

Difficult to read, boring, and very unrealistic for the typical American family. Really just unreadable, irresponsible and impossible! Who but the very rich can keep these ingredients in their home? Nonsense!

I think this book received a lot of negative press but really it's fantastic. As a whole my family has been trying to eat healthier and this book is just perfect, lots of wonderful healthy options. I can't wait for your next book Gwyneth!

The recipes in this book look great and I'm excited to cook them BUT the format of this ebook is disappointing. It's basically a PDF not a properly formatted ebook. The low rating is for the format not the content.
